2002 FIFA World Cup - Silver Proof 10,000 Won Series

This series of South Korea SILVER PROOF coins, were minted in celebration of the 2002 World Cup, for which they were the host nation that year. The series of 4 coins with different designs, depict aspects of the game of Football, and honour four of the football Stadiums used in the tournament.  The 4 stadiums represented are as follows:

DAEJEON Stadium                             INCHEON Stadium

JEONJU Stadium                                 ULSAN Stadium

ALL the coins in the series are made from .999 fineness Silver, and weigh 31.10g (1 troy oz). All the coins are struck to proof FDC quality and all are very detailed and extremely well struck. The Obverse design of each coin incorporates the colourised 'FIFA 2002' logo and the World Cup. The coins are housed in a superb velvet presentation case, with outer sleeve, and come complete with a certificate of authenticity.

There were actually two series of four coins produced in celebration of the tournament, but we have only had one of the series in stock, so these are the coins we have pictured.
