2008 NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

We try to keep up to date with what is happening in the Modern World of Numismatics.  We also like to keep our clients informed so we have created this section for just that purpose.  Here you will find posted any news or announcements we think may be of interest to our clients.

March 2008

From 'ETHERNET' to 'HIGH STREET'

Weighton Coin Wonders are delighted to announce our arrival on the High Street.  We have been trading via the Internet and Mail Order for nearly 5 years now, and in that time we have built up a superb client base and a reputation for quality and customer service of the highest standard.

Our next expansion is to open a High Street Showroom from which our business will also trade.  From 6th May 2008, we will be trading from these new premises alongside our Internet business.

Our retail premises will be based at:

18 High Street

MARKET WEIGHTON

East Riding of Yorkshire

YO43 3AH

Weighton Collectables will be the High Street brand name, and we will carry a range of Modern Collectables and everyday Jewellery.  However, our well established coin business - Weighton Coin Wonders will also be based from these premises, where we will have on show many of our product lines in our modern High Street showroom.

As a company we will still be very much a Modern Coin Dealers, with the majority of our business carried out via our Internet e-shop, but our presence on the High Street will give us another 'arm' to the business, and give our clients an opportunity to come and do business in person if preferred.

So if you are out and about in the East Yorkshire area, we would be very pleased to meet you in person.

February 2008

2008 Gold Proof SOVEREIGN & 1/2 SOVEREIGN, 3 & 4 Coin Sets - Pre Release Orders

As always, we are giving our registered customers the first notification of prices for the new lines, with the opportunity to pre-order before we take delivery (lines will start to arrive from 11th February 2008).

With the metal markets being on the upward trend, and the Royal Mint increasing their prices for the second time in 6 months, items this year will be expensive compared to previous years.  However as you our regular customers will know, our prices will compare very favourably with the rest of the market place.

This year the Royal Mint are changing the presentation of the Gold Proof Sovereign series of coins and sets, and housing coins in a superb new Walnut presentation case.  As usual each product will be issued with the numbered certificate of Authenticity.

We are therefore, offering the following for immediate pre-order:

2008 GOLD PROOF SOVEREIGN - £195.00

(Royal Mint Issue Price - £215.00 - Issue Limit 12,500)

2008 GOLD PROOF ½ SOVEREIGN - £99.95

(Royal Mint Issue Price - £110.00- Issue Limit 5,000)

2008 GOLD PROOF 3 COIN SET - £665.00

(Royal Mint Issue Price - £695.00 - Issue Limit 750)

2008 GOLD PROOF 4 COIN SET - £1375.00

(Royal Mint Issue Price - £1495.00 - Issue Limit 1,750)

As usual our release prices are well below the Royal Mint issue prices, which we already know have been increased again this year.  All items are now available to order on our website www.weightoncoin.com

So as to keep you informed, we are sending just a short note to inform you of some more 2008 Issues that are now available to order from the website.
